Attention all connoisseurs of Birmingham’s finest . . . Tradition dictates that a Westley Richards & Co relocation typically occurs once every hundred years. Although we’re a few years short of our bicentenary celebrations, we have recently adhered to tradition and moved to newly restored, custom designed headquarters, in the heart of Birmingham’s old gun quarters. Aficionados know that we’ve been sharing our passion for crafting handmade guns and rifles since 1812 – fast forward nearly two hundred years and we now also offer a quality repair service, pre owned guns and rifles, sporting ammo and sporting agency services. The 3/4 acre site, including 21,000 sq ft, is home to state-of-the-art workshops, leather department, engraving studios, underground range and retail showroom. At Westley Richards we have always cleverly blended the best of old and new, and our opulent new retail showroom is no exception. Designed to be the perfect blend of expert outfitters and an enthusiasts den, customers can now purchase the best clothes and accessories from leading international brands alongside old sporting accoutrements and antiques. We stock labels for all manner of destination, including Schoffel, Laksen, Le Chameau, Chrysalis, Magellan & Mulloy, Courteney Boots and Johnsons Cashmere. Add to this our full range of handmade leather goods and a visit truly is de rigueur. A tour of the workshops; an appointment with our gunroom manager; a spot of retail therapy… whatever your interest, there really is no better place to indulge your passion and absorb our knowledge. You can also now shop online at our newly re-launched website – and whether you visit us online or in person, we look forward to being of service. "Our new home reflects the modern, competitive and diverse nature of our business and the variety of products – from handmade rifles to bespoke leather accessories - that we have to offer. The expansion of the gun room and the younger talent joining the team is testament to the enduring appeal of British handmade guns” comments Managing Director Simon Clode. |
