Craftsmanship
The term 'craftsmanship' scarcely does justice to the work and thought that sees its final expression in a finished gun, a perfect fit between two parts- a flawless finish on wood or metal, and the minute perfection of an engraved scene - each craftsman has his own speciality. His dedication to his area of expertise, whether it is making a lock mechanism, striking and regulating a pair of barrels, or fitting a stock to an action, makes him an acknowledged expert in his field. His skills and knowledge may be brought into play in a variety of ways: restoring an antique weapon, repairing and renovating a cherished classic, even remedying defects in other makers' guns - as well as contributing personally to the character and performance of each new Westley Richards gun.
