Peter Spode
Engraver
Peter has been engraving for thirty years: the last twenty of them exclusively for Westley Richards. He currently produces scrollwork, gold inlay, game scenes and deep carving, in both high and low relief, and is mainly involved in the output of deluxe double rifles. Peter applies the same high standards of design and finish whether he is working on a single replacement pin or a fully carved and gold inlaid presentation rifle, and even after three decades he continues to develop new ideas and techniques.
Vince Crowley
Engraver
Vincent had early aspirations to engrave guns and after studying at the Birmingham School of jewellery, was taken on full time by Westley Richards in 1997. Vincent worked closely under the expert tutorage of Rashid Hadi and Peter Spode. It was quickly apparent that Vince had a real talent for gun engraving and he now specialises in intricate game scene carving and gold inlay. Vincent is curenctly developing a unique style and is pioneering new methods which pay respect to the most fundamental aspect of gun engraving - Design.
Shaun Banks
Engraver
Shaun began his engraving apprenticeship with a die-stamping printers at the age of sixteen. After working there for fourteen years he moved to Thomas De La Rue banknote printers, where he worked for nine years before computer technology made his abilities redundant. A friend with an interest in shooting suggested Shaun's skills could be put to better use, which led to his next job with E.J. Churchill's. Shaun joined Westley Richards at the beginning of 2006, where his highly creative gold inlay and scroll work are much appreciated.
